While our chances of seeing a HD remastered version of Final Fantasy VII anytime soon may still be as good as Aeris’ chances of making it out of the Forgotten Capital in one piece, there is some good news for Final Fantasy XV fans. Today, the Square Enix official Facebook page posted an English language version of the TGS 2014 trailer, offering our first look at a localized version of the hotly anticipated Final Fantasy XV.
The JRPG version of Entourage still features plenty of impeccably styled dudes driving around in a convertible through monster-filled plains and grasslands. Moreover, it is proof positive that the game is making its way stateside and isn’t another elaborate trolling by Square Enix.
For my money, the gameplay still looks great thanks to a fascinating blend of turn-based and real-time combat, and graphics that look better than ever. The English voiceovers sound decent enough, but it’s always difficult to get a read on how they’ll actually be until you spend some time with them in-game. Here’s hoping that we won’t have any repeats of this:

What’s wrong with that scene from X? Tidus was depressed and Yuna makes him try and force a laugh, and he did just that. Yuna even says, “you probably shouldn’t laugh anymore” It’s supposed to sound like that.
Uhm….did the guy on the radio(?) say Nibelheim??
He did!
low blow with that aeris comment. the pain feels.
and to be fair, who sounds convincing when they’re fake laughing?
Meh, I’ve never been an aeris fan. I’ve always rooted for Tifa
Oh gods, that scene from X.
