FEAR THE WALKING DEAD Gets a SDCC Trailer for Rest of Season 3

To keep fans excited during the mid-season break of Fear the Walking Dead, AMC released the official trailer for the second half of its third season at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday afternoon.

The new trailer for the remaining eight episodes ramps up the excitement with a surprising amount of tension that seems to have little to do with the undead masses. The focus remains primarily on the Clark family and their attempts to survive in a world that’s breaking down around them. The people who remain alive over the last three and a half seasons are already on edge and part two of this season seems to be pushing them to their breaking point more than ever before. With resources running out and different groups laying claim to what they think is theirs–it’s only a matter of time before all hell breaks loose (more so than it already has in a zombie apocalypse).

What makes shows like Fear the Walking Dead (and by extension The Walking Dead) so compelling is the focus they put on relationships between the survivors. We’ve all heard someone say “Well, It’s really the people who are the walking dead” at one point or another but it really does hold true in both series. This is especially meaningful in FTWD because of its closer proximity in time to when things were normal. We’ve watched civility continually chip away to make room for what needs to be done to survive and–in doing so–we watch each character slowly lose their humanity.

Are you excited for September 10th when Fear the Walking Dead returns? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
