FEAR THE WALKING DEAD Gets 15-Episode Season 2 Order

Sometimes there’s a lot of benefit to hanging out in a freezing cold ballroom all day: like finding out first-hand that AMC has confirmed a 15-episode long second season of their new series Fear the Walking Dead. Now if you’re an avid zombie obsessor you may be thinking, “But Alicia, didn’t we already know from back in March that Fear the Walking Dead would be two seasons?”  To which we say, yes, we did know that! But now we’ve got more details thanks to the TCA tour stop, where AMC laid out their plan for how many episodes will get.

Not only that but, according to Lesley Goldberg over at The Hollywood Reporter, the second season will likely be split into two halves, as is sort of the go-to way of operating for AMC these days.

With the show premiering on Sunday, August 23rd at 9PM—an episode that’ll be 90 minutes long and will air on all AMC channels globally simultaneously before airing during primetime in their respective local time zones—meaning it’ll finale on Sunday, October 4th, you might be thinking, “Will there be a Talking Dead to go along with it?” And that thinking would be right! Our very own nerd overlord, Chris Hardwick, will host that very special Talking Dead episode after the finale airs. So if you were worried about not getting enough zombie talk, fear not: your long national nightmare is almost over.

How excited are you for Fear the Walking Dead? Let us hear it in the comments.
