FANTASTIC BEASTS Parkour Short Full of Magical Moves

We know that in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Newt Scamander has to run all over New York City in an attempt to gather up the many magical creatures that have escaped from his enchanted briefcase, but while he might be adept with a wand, we doubt Eddie Redmayne has the kind of moves that are on display in this wonderful mini parkour version of J.K. Rowling’s latest story.

This short, from the YouTube channel Freakin Rad, is — very fittingly — both fantastic and magical, because it features Newt running after an infected wizard, one who was overcome by a green spirit that popped out of Newt’s briefcase after a clumsy encounter. The two then take off in a chase that not only features some impressive parkour moves, but also special effects that look like they came right out of a big budget Hollywood movie.

We have no idea what creature could have escaped Newt’s briefcase like that and overtaken another wizard in such a manner, because nothing from Newt’s book fits that description, but whatever it is must be really nasty, since Newt had to repeatedly dodge the Killing Curse.

It’s a really good thing that besides being a great Magizoologist, Newt can really bust a move, because sometimes a wizard’s best asset isn’t his wand, it’s his ability to dodge and look good doing it.

But what wizard or witch from the world of Harry Potter do you think would be the best at parkour? Tell us which one you think would have the best moves in the comments below.
