Fanfest 2014: EVE Online, EVE: Valkyrie, Dust 514 and More!

What could be better than cutthroat diplomacy and interstellar spaceship warfare? How about celebrating all of that and more with hundreds of diehard fans in Reykjavik, Iceland? Well, that’s exactly what Jesse McKeil and I earlier this month at CCP Games’ annual EVE Fanfest, a celebration of all things EVE: Online. With everything from a chance to go hands on with the company’s virtual reality dogfighting sim EVE: Valkyrie to watching ten game developers step into the Octagon to fight Icelandic MMA champion Gunnar Nelson. In CCP’s own words, “Internet spaceships are serious business.” So, join me as we recount some of the best experiences, stories, and more from Fanfest 2014.
