It’s finally December. The month when we get a new Star Wars movie is here. The release of The Force Awakens is less than three weeks away, and I don’t know how I’m going to last. It helps that most of the world seems to be in on the celebrations. Fandango is obviously throwing down; they have a new Star Wars hub on their website. In honor of the hub for all things related to the galaxy far, far away, they’ve commissioned eight different artists to create posters inspired by Star Wars. We have your exclusive look at one of the pieces.
Take a look at this beauty by Paul Shipper (you’ll definitely want to click this one to enlarge it and see all the details):
The art is massive in size and scope. Fandango asked Shipper to include imagery from every Star Wars film, including The Force Awakens. Shipper said, “Represent every Star Wars film from Episode I to VII, they said. It will be great, they said… Well, actually, it was! I got to revisit each film, pick out my favorite characters and listen to John Williamsâ rousing scores at full blast while I drew and painted each and every day on this… I loved it, and hope you love it too! May the Force be with you!”
Visit Fandango to get more information and to purchase tickets for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
How many tickets do you have for opening weekend of The Force Awakens? Talk to me in the comments. And while you’re there, let me know what you think about Shipper’s poster.
