This year gave us what was one of the most heartbreaking moments in the history of summer blockbusters, maybe ever. We’re talking, of course, about the ending of Avengers: Infinity War, when Thanos snaps his fingers and half the universe, including our beloved heroes, turn to dust and blow away in the wind. Tom Holland especially broke all of our collective nerdy hearts with his pleas to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark as he tried to cling to life. We still get misty eyed thinking about it…and that’s knowing full well that everyone is likely to get undusted by this time next year.
But what was it like on the other side for our heroes once the Infinity Gauntlet powered snap heard ’round the universe? Thanks to DesignTAXI, we’ve learned about an artist and Marvel Studios fan by the name of Juan Chang, who created a series of illustrations which depict what happens when the newly dead Avengers and their friends reunite, some in the great beyond, others presumably after an inevitable unsnappening (who knows what’s up with Thor and Loki; the latter is one hell of a trickster sometimes). These images of Star-Lord greeting his beloved Gamora again, and the Vision reuniting with the Scarlet Witch will probably get you super teary-eyed, so be sure to have your tissues handy. You can see all the illustrations down below:
There is also one extra illustration on Chang’s Facebook page, which shows what a possibly undusted Peter Parker has to say to his mentor Tony Stark if and when he comes back from the other side. Will the real moment in question go something like this? We can only hope.
We’re not crying, you’re crying! (Okay, we’re all crying). Did this fan art get you in the feels like it did for us? Be sure to let us know down below in the comments.
