The past couple of weeks have given me an intense case of The 100 feels. Though that diagnosis maybe hasn’t made it into any sort of official text, I promise it’s a thing that exists. I decided to redirect some of my sad thoughts and found some beautiful art inspired by CW’s The 100 to feature in this week’s Fan Art Friday.
Emma Desirée’s portraits of characters such as Lexa, Clarke, Bellamy, and Raven convey so much emotion. The burdens they’re all carrying are practically tangible. Maybe this isn’t helping in the sadness department because so many of these images capture the tragedy all the kids sent down to Earth have been through. But don’t take my word for it–see for yourself:
My heart. I have genuine concern for the kids of Skaikru and worry about whether they can ever truly recover from the hell they’ve seen and the horrible things they’ve been part of–especially Clarke. How much trauma does one person have to suffer? She bears so much on her shoulders.
More of Emma’s The 100 portraits are in the gallery below, and yes, they are all as gorgeous as the Clarke and Lexa ones above. There’s even art from the first episode of season three featuring the group riding around in the rover and looking happy. Awww. See additional The 100 imagery at Emma’s Tumblr. You can buy prints of her art over at Society6.
Which of her character portraits do you like best? Share your opinions in the comments.
