If you spend time on social media of any kind, you’ve probably noticed the Inktober hashtag popping up since October 1. The drawing challenge was started by Jake Parker in 2009. He started it to improve his inking skills, and more artists have joined in over the years. The rules are simple: create a drawing in ink (including inking pencils), post it on social media, and tag it with #inktober. Participating artists draw original characters, fan art, mash-ups–a little bit of everything.

I’ve been searching the hashtag on Twitter for fun every day, and Fan Art Friday seemed like the ideal occasion to share some of my favorites. Enjoy:
