With all the casting announcements for Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast this week, the animated film is on my mind. I remember seeing the movie in the theater when it opened in 1991 and immediately connecting to Belle. I always had my nose in a book and often got teased for it so I basically thought Belle was the best. Through adult eyes, I can see some of the flaws with the Belle and Beast love story but I usually revert to a little kid when I watch it. I like the characters, I love to hate Gaston, and I drool over the backgrounds. So, for this week’s Fan Art Friday I’ve rounded up my favorite pieces of art depicting characters from Beauty and the Beast.
