Fan Art Friday #15 – Joey Chou

In news that will not surprise any of you, I can’t resist cute art. Anytime I see the work of Joey Chou, I audibly squeal. The illustrator’s work doesn’t strictly fall into the category of fan art (he creates officially licensed art for Disney at the very least), but I had to showcase it anyway. He recently participated in the “Cute Enemies” art show at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland in Los Angeles (the show is up through February 22nd). His pictures of X-Men villains such as Mystique and Apocalypse popped into my Instagram feed and practically injured me because they are the most precious.

Besides X-Men, Chou has created images with characters from Adventure Time, The Big Bang Theory, RoboCop, and many more. His original work is enchanting, too. I would happily buy a coffee table book of those images.

You can purchase prints of some of Chou’s art at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland and in his shop. Be sure to check out all his lovely original illustrations!
