Exclusive: SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN #4 Preview

If you’ve been reading this site regularly you know that we’re big fans of Charles Soule and Tony S. Daniel’s Superman/Wonder Woman series. Not only is it one of the most enjoyable books in DC’s current lineup, but it’s also one of the best portrayals of Wonder Woman out there. So, naturally, you can imagine our excitement when DC offered us an exclusive preview of Superman/Wonder Woman #4.

Last issue ended with the news of Superman and Wonder Woman’s relationship spreading faster than an accidentally tweeted nude celebrity selfie. Issue #4 finds Superman and Wonder Woman trying to decide how to proceed and our newest Kryptonian guest, General Zod, up to no good as usual.

Ange you’re creppy for posting two comments on how you pout and stomp around that your ship isn’t currently cannon. Get a life sweetheart. Comics do this all the time. Characters die and comeback, relationships are established to be broken apart and the good guy always wins. If you don’t know that by now, you’re not a comic book fan.

  2. Ange says:

Superman/Wonder Woman fans are intensely creepy, disturbed people.

The hatred for Lois Lane is weird and creepy. Lois and Clark were the best couple in the history of the genre and always will be. Lois was a working woman who was never overly sexulized. They were united through their differences and had a similar passion for justice.

This stunt couldn’t even lick the boots of that relationship. Seriously, these fans are creepy.

  3. Andries says:

Love this story line. Wonder woman is potrayed beautifully. And they (superman wonderwoman) should have been together long ago. Lois Lane is annoying! to full of herself. I like wonder woman. There relationship makes sense and it is beautiful, they complete each other. Great work guys, really excelent!!

  4. Chai says:

Been a big fan of this series so far. Picking this book up for sure.

  5. Disgusted says:

THIS IS JUST SEXIST, SEXIST, SEXIST. In the opening panel Diana appears to be adjusting her bra. WHY CAN’T CLARK ADJUST HIS BRA INSTEAD, HUH?

In another panel she is putting on her sexy female boots. WHY ISN’T CLARK PORTRAYED PUTTING ON SEXY FEMALE BOOTS?

I long for the good old days of the late ’90s when Clark is using his super-speed to repair and clean up the apartment (you know the Pre- Reboot apartment in a Bruce Wayne-owned building that the Gotham money-man opened to Lois and Clark to rent) and Lois is sitting down doing nothing but reading.

I long for the days when Lois put Clark in his place saying that a country hayseed like him couldn’t compete with the far superior reporter like her. Oh I especially love when she flaunts her attraction to Bruce Wayne in the Animation Universe. She knows that Clark is jealous and that spurs her on to further through her attraction to Bruce in his face. I love seeing Clark so needy and whiney while Lois is shown so uncaring and strong.

Man, those were the real Non -exist and very warm days that I miss. FORGET THIS SEXIST DRIBBLE. BRING BACK LOIS AND PUT THIS HORRIBLE ALPHA MALE IN HIS PLACE.

  6. Msfar says:

A relationship that feels authentic. Characters written as people and not caricatures of people. No rehashed cliches. Issues are addressed and not glossed over with crap like destiny or triangles and hiding etc. Epic action and beautiful art. Very good nuanced take on Clark and Diana making them humanized.

  7. lisa says:

I’ve been reading it from day one and I love this comic!
I love the dialogue between the two, it’s believable and the story so far has been great!

  8. Vovo says:

    Wednesday just hurry up!!!

  9. Ange says:

This series and the relationship it promotes is a sexist, insulting piece of crap and you have jeopardized your credibility for not recognizing how truly sexist this book is. Sorry, Dan. You majorly missed the mark here .

  10. Thanks for the preview. Definitely getting this issue! SM/WW is the best comic book out there!

  11. js says:

I love this series so far.

  12. Sexy O Sullivan says:

“One of the best portrayals of Wonder Woman out there.” An insult and I highly disagree =_=

Wow can I ordered the issue
