Exclusive: Simon Helberg’s WE’LL NEVER HAVE PARIS Gets a Poster

At SXSW this year, I had the good fortune of seeing film fest favorite We’ll Never Have Paris with one of the first audiences to screen the film. Cringe-inducing, laughter-evoking and tear-jerking in equal measure, the movie is a wholly enjoyable romantic comedy. MGM’s newly resurrected Orion banner seems to agree and is releasing the film to the masses in January of next year. We’ve got your exclusive first look at the poster for the globe-hopping look at how love works in real life.

We'll Never Have Paris

The Simon Helberg and Melanie Lynskey-starring feature is based on the directors’ own lives. Helberg drafted a script about his failed attempts to propose, then leave and ultimately try to win back his girlfriend. Co-directed with his now-wife Jocelyn Towne, We’ll Never Have Paris is a refreshingly honest and endearing tale that has a human connection. The movie also features an uncompromisingly charming Zachary Quinto as Helberg’s best friend and Maggie Grace as the other woman caught up in the madness that is the lead characters’ love lives.

We’ll Never Have Paris premieres in theaters in January.

I moderated a Q&A with the co-directors and co-stars of the film at the SAG Foundation and went into great detail about the film’s creation and production. I formally apologize to Melanie Lynskey for saying Lyzinskey.
