Exclusive: Preview of CONSTANTINE #22

Like many of the DC Universe‘s more rough-around-the-edges heroes, John Constantine can’t catch a break. While he’s certainly one of the more powerful beings, with his knowledge of magic and his ability to wield it pretty impressively, he’s nevertheless got the uncanny ability to get himself into trouble and make things worse by trying to make things better. When we last felt John in the pages of Constantine #21, he had traveled to Earth-2 in an attempt to rescue his loved ones, who are dead on Earth-1, from a horrible existence at the hands of the horrors from Apokolips. Little did he know that the Earth-2 John Constantine is a great guy, and maybe these people didn’t want to come back with him. Uhh, that’s pretty awkward.

In this exclusive preview of Issue #22, we see just how much his seemingly good deeds have ruined everything, for himself and for others. It might take the intervention of Dr. Fate himself to set things right, but that’ll be way down the road, surely.

Constantine #22 is written by Ray Fawkes with art by Juan Ferreyra and a cover by Jeremy Haun, and it’s probably one of the coolest covers we’ve seen in a good long while. The issue hits newsstands, or comic book store shelves (because who really buys comics from newsstands anymore? Anyone?) this Wednesday, February 11th.

Born in 1985?!?!? Why is John younger than me now?

  2. JC says:

You have the book artist and the cover artist backwards. According to DC, Haun did the book art and Ferreya did the cover.
