From the minds behind Heroes (Tim Kring) and Homeland (Gideon Raff) comes Dig, a murder mystery set in modern day Jerusalem. The event series stars Jason Isaacs (the Harry Potter films, Awake, swoon) as Peter Connelly, a tortured FBI agent who accepts a job in Israel to escape his life and start fresh. Not only does he have a fairly complicated relationship with his new boss, Lynn Monahan (Anne Heche), he becomes embroiled in an ancient conspiracy “thousands of years in the making that threatens to change the course of history.”

Dig also stars Alison Sudol (A Fine Frenzy, Transparent), David Costabile (Breaking Bad), Richard E. Grant (Downtown Abbey), Regina Taylor (The Unit), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Omar Metwally (Non-Stop), and Ori Pfeffer (World War Z).

Ok, so. This is a historical action thriller filled with danger and international intrigue starring Jason Isaacs, Richard E. Grant, GALE FROM BREAKING BAD, and Lauren Ambrose? USA, did you dig (wink) this premise and cast directly out of my brain/dream journal? Though the specifics of the show are still mostly shrouded in mystery, the trailer promises some incredible sets and production design, and of course, that beautiful collection of talent.
