Exclusive: JUPITER ASCENDING Character Pages Give You a Rundown of Who’s Who

Yesterday, we told you about the new in-continuity teaser site for The Wachowskis’ Jupiter Ascending, with its creepy warning that humanity will be next for the harvest. Gross. Now, though, the official site has more information about the movie in the form of animated character pages, as well as trailers, galleries, gifs, and more. All of this can be found on the newly-updated official Jupiter Ascending site.

In the film, a young woman named Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), who doesn’t have much in the world, finds out that she’s part of a much bigger and more complicated lineage, one with spaceships and royalty and things, and that she is the heir to an ancient intergalactic throne. Naturally, many out there do not want her to pick up this mantle, but a few, including mysterious alien warrior Caine (Channing Tatum), have taken an oath to protect her.

One of the many characters you can read about on the site’s new character pages is Stinger Apini, played by Sean Bean. He was once Caine’s commanding officer, but following a mishap, both he and Caine were stripped of their wings and titles and Stinger was stationed on Earth, where he meets Jupiter. But, perhaps Stinger isn’t quite as noble as he appears. (Is Sean Bean EVER as noble as he appears, Ned Stark notwithstanding?) Check him out in all of his animated glory:

For more of these bios, all animated and the like, be sure to head over to the Jupiter Ascending, where you’ll also find other things to watch, see, and hear about what looks to be the most fascinating and epic sci-fi movie of early 2015. The movie lands in theaters February 6th.
