EXCLUSIVE: First Look at “Miles From Tomorrowland” Short!

We may be heading into the holiday season, but naturally we’re already looking forward to watching shiny new television fare in the new year – and 2015 brings us a new series from Disney Junior called Miles from Tomorrowland!

The show, created by Sascha Paladino (Ni Hao, Kai-lan) revolves around a young space adventurer named Miles Callisto. He and his family – big sister Loretta and their scientist parents Phoebe, and Leo work for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, an organization that connects the universe and all of its inhabitants. Is it just me who hopes that all transit lines in this imaginary world pipe in the disco music from the Space Mountain coaster?

The show doesn’t premiere until February 2015, but in the meantime, to whet the public’s appetite, Disney is launching a series of shorts on the WATCH Disney Junior app – starting on Friday December 19th! Titled Messages from Miles, they’re handy helpers as to what you should do when living in outer-space. Gravitational tips, working with robot pets – you know, the usual.

MILES, MERC

But wait! There’s more! Beginning December 22nd, you’ll find an animation on Skype of Miles “talking” to users and introducing them to his world.  Skype users will be able to add Miles as a friend and get messages from him via IM. That is some second screen deepness, almost old school ARG territory.

Here’s an EXCLUSIVE look at one of these “Messages from Miles” – this is Cosmic Explorer Rule Number 79: What to do with flying food. You know, gravitational repercussions and everything being what they are…

Check it out, Friday December 19th on the WATCH Disney Junior App!
