Living in San Diego, we have The Whaley House Museum as our offical house (as well as a Witch’s Tower close to Presidio Park)! It’s a nice little place to learn about the early history of San Diego when it was first formed. Plus it’s a fun place to visit for ghost tours during the month of October!
Honestly there are MANY haunted places in the world I want to visit besides The Whaley House! The Winchester Mystery House, Alcatraz, Hotel Del California, Waverly Hills Sanitorium, The Lizzie Borden House, and Eastern State Penn being some of them!
Favorite Haunted Place I’ve been to that is still there
– Waverly Hills Santorium in KY. I went to a haunted house there (actually 2 different haunted houses, both at the same place, at the same time), so that counts, right? Here in my town there was a Knights of Pythias mansion which was supposedly haunted, for a while it was an orphanage, and a nursing home… eventually the school system took charge of it (it was next to the high school) and used it for years as a haunted house as a fundraiser for the school, and it was the BEST haunted house I’ve ever been in, very consistently. Of course they tore it down a few years ago, so no more scares there…
The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park CO scared me so very much I cried a little.

There’s a restaurant in Atkinson, NH called Eggies that used to be a house and is supposed to be haunted. I’ve never seen anything but the food is good!
The Winchester House is fascinating. The house I currently live in has odd things happening too!
If it has to be a house, Prospect Place in Eastern Ohio. If we’re talking favorite haunted place, Waverly Hills, Ky. It’s a fun place to visit. Lots of levels to explore.

My favorite haunted house is the Navidson house from House of Leaves. It may not be a haunted house in the traditional sense, but it freaked me the heck out.

My favorite Haunted House is not a house at all, it’s a LIBRARY! The famous “Lady in Grey” resides at Willard Library here in Evansville, Indiana!
