Ewoks Based on Wicket Are Now at Build-A-Bear!

When it comes to the Star Wars universe, cute creatures and droids abound. Chewy’s pretty cute for a tall fella, Maz Kanata looks plenty huggable, and there is, of course, BB-8 with that little freaking lighter-thumbs-up that’s so adorable you just want to squeeze his spheroid body until his domed head pops off. But the kings of Star Wars cuteness—as anybody with an ounce of honesty in their bodies will agree—are the Ewoks from Return of the Jedi. And now, thanks to Build-A-Bear, you can make your own primitive yet snuggly hunter-gatherers for yourself. The only question is: How long until your bedroom looks exactly like a forest on Endor?

The Ewok bears from Build-A-Bear will, of course, be customizable, although they will be based on Wicket (played by Warwick Davis in Return of the Jedi), who not only saved Leia’s life from speeder bikin’ Stormtroopers, but also played an instrumental role in helping the Rebels defeat the Empire on the forest moon.

The Ewok bears measure 16 inches tall (six inches taller than their 10-inch ready-made mini counterparts that are already on the market), and weigh in at a very fluffy seven ounces. The Wicket base bear is $28, although there’s also a two-for-$45 deal available on the Build-A-Bear site right now. And, if you just can’t do without some of that sweet sweet completely incoherent Ewokese, you can also have a sound chip installed for an extra $7 (check out those sounds here).

What do you think about these Ewok bears? Are you ready to watch that Rogue One trailer again with a cute little Ewok by your side, or do you already have a BB-8 droid who’s filled that desperately necessary part of your life already? Let us know in the comments below!

Or you could watch our epic trailer breakdown for Rogue One and stay in the Star Wars universe for as long as you’d like:
