Father and daughter Paul and Hailee Hollingsworth combined their love of LEGO and Jurassic Park to create this really stellar homage to the 1993 blockbuster.
With over $100,000Â worth of LEGO, stop motion camera work. CGI after effects, and some help from friends, the duo recreated some of their favorite scenes from the film.
The cast of characters goes far beyond Dr. Grant and the main cast. We really can’t pick our favorite when there are so many Lego versions to choose from. From Samuel L Jacksonâs Ray Arnold, Wayne Knightâs Nedry to BD Wongâs Dr. Henry Wu (Shout-out to all our fellow Law & Order SVU fans), they really covered all the bases. Hailee and Paul even went so far as to do some pretty great voice work including Nedryâs magic word scolding and the patented Mr. DNA âDino-SAWersâ.
Even more impressive might be the sheer amount of detail they put into the scenes – from John Hammondâs amber cane, to the pupil dilatation of the Tyrannosaurus Rex’s eye when Lex shines the flashlight into it, right down to the ever so Goldblum-y hairy chest of LEGO Dr. Ian Malcolm.
As if this the finished video wasn’t enough, Paul and Hailee also made a behind the scenes video where they show us how the video was made.
In our opinion, both father and daughter have definitely earned their master builder status and built their ways into our hearts. Check out more of their work at their site including a LEGO versions of The Avengers and The Walking Dead.
