Nintendo Reveals Everything Coming to the Switch at E3 2018

After reining in 2017 with new Super Mario and Legend of Zelda games, it was always going to be hard for Nintendo to up the ante at its next E3 showcase. But this year, Nintendo had a few not-so secret weapons up it sleeve, including a new Super Smash Bros. game that features almost everything fans could have wanted, a new twist Mario Party, some Pokémon action, and more!

Here’s a rundown of everything coming to the Switch!

Super Smash Bros: Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate reunites the Nintendo headliners like Mario, Link, Zelda, Peach, Samus Aran, and more with all of the franchise’s previous guest characters—that includes Solid Snake, Ryu, Sonic, Cloud, Bayonetta, and Pac-Man. But that’s not all. The spotlighted newcomer is Ridley from the Metroid series, with more surprise additions likely to come. Best of all, it’s going to be available on December 7.

Overcooked 2

Overcooked 2, the sequel to the culinarily inclined cult hit, is bringing its crazy multiplayer cooking to Switch on August 7. One of the new features of the four-player sequel will involve the ability to toss ingredients to a fellow player. Expect a bevy of new recipes!

Pokémon: Let’s Go

November 16 marks the long awaited arrival of Pokémon on the Switch. Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eeevee are importing the Pokémon from Pokémon GO, and Nintendo is also introducing a new Poké Ball Plus accessory that can be used within the game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

On September 14, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will get a DLC expansion called Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. The adventure will take place 500 years after the game’s main storyline.

Super Mario Party

Super Mario Party arrives on the Switch on October 5 with Joy-Con support in the minigames. The most appealing feature of the game is that two Switches can be connected for cross-system matches.

Daemon x Machina

Sadly, there was no update on Metroid Prime 4, but the new mech game from Armored Core producer Kenichiro Tsukuda has our attention. Daemon x Machina is slated to arrive in 2019 with an all-new lineup for flying mechs.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Fire Emblem: Three Houses, an apparent return to form for the Fire Emblem franchise, is also on tap for spring 2019.

Meanwhile, Killer Queen Black doesn’t have a release date yet. Which of the new Switch games captured your imagination? Let us know in the comment section below!
