Ever Wonder What Star Wars, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Men In Black Would Be Like As Power Rangers Series?

A few months back, this mashup of the Power Rangers in Space opening with J.J. Abrams’ reboot of Star Trek made waves across the internet:

Something that was so fantastic about the video wasn’t just that it combined two nerdy things to create a bottomless vortex of fandom, it’s how well constructed it was. For a moment, you really believed that Star Trek had been made into a ’90s television series… oh wait…

The YouTuber responsible for the mashup was someone who goes by the name “The Usual Suspect” (his real name being Ross Thompson, and you can find him on Twitter @ShockSuspect), and guess what? Power Rangers in Space wasn’t his only outing.

Most recently, Thompson put a mashup together featuring the theme of Power Rangers: SPD combined with Will Smith’s Men in Black trilogy, and yes, the results are as glorious as you imagine them to be:

Something about how perfectly the cheesy green screen effect has been mimicked here is what makes the whole video shine.

Next up is a treat for you Marvel fans in the form of an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. mashup with the stylings of Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue:

We’re just gonna say what we know you’re thinking: Clark Gregg would make for the ultimate Power Ranger, no question.

Picture it in your head. Got it? Good, because we have one more mashup for you, and this one’s a doozy. It’s Star Wars combined with Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy:

We could honestly do this all day, but there’s only so much room in a single post for Power Ranger sweetness (not to mention we’re still trying to process the movie announcement), but if you head over to Thomas’ YouTube account, you can find mashups featuring The Avengers, Jurassic Park, Back To The Future, Harry Potter and more. It’s definitely worth a look if you have some time before heading out to clean your zords this weekend.

Okay, one more. Why not?

I’d have liked to see Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. done with the original MMPR theme song.
In Space was the last one I watched.
