The LEGO Movie‘s main tune “Everything Is Awesome” is, well, awesome, but what about Batman’s song? The dark and moody piece is the opposite of the cheerful and infectious Song That Shall Not Be Named… Again. Will Arnett nailed the hero’s dialogue throughout the film, but his performance of “Untitled Self Portrait” was possibly the best Batman scene.
As far as I’m concerned, the only issue with the song is that it was all too brief. If you stayed through the credits however, you were treated to the entire version replete with continued darkness and depressing themes. Luckily for everyone, YouTube user
AngryConfusedRabbi has not only shared a full-length version but has also included the lyrics. You know you want to sing along.
Even though it’s brooding and tragic, it also manages to be hilarious. Let’s hope some version of this inspiring ditty ends up in a live action Batman flick. Someone get on the phone with Zack Snyder and make it happen.
