Enjoy GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 with a Tootsie Roll Groot

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is just one week away. While you may already have tickets for your family and friends, you simply can’t see the movie without Groot. Toys might get lost in a dark theater and bringing plants to a movie isn’t the norm, so I give you the next best thing—a sweet sapling sidekick!

To make your own sugary shrub, grab some Tootsie Rolls and shape them into an edible sentient tree. Not only will you have an adorable theater companion, but you’ll have a delicious morsel to snack on while you watch the flick. Don’t worry about eating Groot–he’s nothing if not selfless when it comes to your hunger. (Plus, as you know, he’ll grow back.)

Check out Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in theaters, May 5th!

Take 3/4 of the Tootsie Roll and form it into a log shape, then roll it to add twists to resemble the base of a tree. Fold down the top 2 inches to form Groot’s head.

Use a knife to cut slits into the top to create his hair pieces.
