Building a castle is a dream the majority of people won’t fulfill, but LEGO and Disney are making the goal easier to accomplish with an upcoming release. They’ve created the Disney Castle, a LEGO model of the Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom in the Walt Disney World Resort. And when I say model, I basically mean a replica. The facade and towers emulate the elaborate design in the park, and since the set has a whopping 4,080 pieces, it captures all the details and then some. Before we discuss this further, take in the full brick-tastic castle:
It looks way too real. As you can see in the photo, the massive castle comes with five LEGO minifigures: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Tinker Bell. They inhabit the 29 inch tall, 17 inch wide, and 12 inch deep abode, and you can add to the population if you collect the line of Disney LEGO minifigs. I mean, the more characters who can split the rent and utilities on the castle the better. Can you imagine how much it would cost to heat in the winter?
With the LEGO version of Cinderella’s Castle, you can go inside. The interior is built out with multiple bedrooms and a kitchen. Each room is stuffed with buildable items such as a spinning wheel, beds, chests, curtains, and more. Several of the elements are nods to Disney’s animated films. Click the picture below to enlarge it and see what’s hiding inside the turrets.
You can see closeups of the interiors and some minifigs in the gallery below. The Disney Castle is priced at $349.99, and will be available for purchase on September 1.
