Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, and Robert Stromberg Talk Disney’s MALEFICENT

They say that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and that goes double for all-powerful sorceresses that can command fire-breathing dragons and doom unsuspecting princesses to a lifetime of napping. Disney’s Maleficent, in theaters this Friday, aims to drive that point home with spectacular visuals, a charismatic cast, and more fantastical creatures than  you can shake a stave at. Recently, I sat down with stars Elle Fanning (“Aurora”), Sharlto Copley (“Stefan”) and director Robert Stromberg to talk about the challenges of reinterpreting a classic, bringing the world to life, and what a Maleficent theme park ride might look like.

What would your version of a Maleficent theme park ride be? Let us know in the comments below.
