Elektra Strikes in New DAREDEVIL Season 2 Teaser Video

While the early Daredevil season 2 promos have focused on the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), the introduction of Elodie Yung as Elektra has largely been underplayed. That changes right now.

Marvel TV and Netflix have released a new 15-second teaser for Daredevil season 2 that features Elektra doing what she does best. And if there were any doubts about how lethal she can be, her signature sais should quickly dispel them. Elektra was briefly referenced in the first season of Daredevil as “the Greek girl’ that Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) dated in college. This season, she will reenter Matt’s life as an international assassin, and her true agenda has yet to be revealed.

Frank Miller created Elektra during his seminal run on the Daredevil comic book series back in 1981, and she’s gone on to become one of Marvel’s most popular anti-heroines. Jennifer Garner previously portrayed Elektra in the Daredevil and Elektra movies that were produced by 20th Century Fox.

During Elektra’s stint in the Thunderbolts comic book, she found “common ground” with the Punisher. And one of the things that we haven’t seen yet is how Elektra and the Punisher will interact in Daredevil season 2. Could they be allies? Or will Daredevil be caught in the crossfire when Elektra and the Punisher turn their aggression on each other?

All 13 episodes of Daredevil season 2 will premiere on Friday, March 18. A new Daredevil trailer is scheduled to be released tomorrow.

And what about the Punisher’s role in the new season of Daredevil? Dan Casey has all the info you need.
