NetherRealm Studios has officially announced the next fighter who will join the roster in Mortal Kombat X (the X is pronounced like what you call a former boyfriend/girlfriend, not “ten”) and like the previous announcement of Raiden, this one is sure to satisfy long time MK-heads. Kano, the knife-wielding numero uno Black Dragon himself, will be gracing the Mortal Kombat arena once again, and he’s back with a figure packed full of cybernetic upgrades to overpower his opponents.

Our pal’s looking a bit older these days, but give him a break, he’s still just as vicious as he was when he first stepped on the scene eating hearts and taking names (though that particular finishing move still remains to be seen for this iteration of Kano). Another thing I must point out: how interesting will it be to see how his character interacts with Cassie Cage, the daughter of his former arch-nemesis Sonya Blade?
