Someone Recreated the World of DUNE with Gummi Candy

Who needs the rare spice Melange when you’ve got the planet of Arrakis constructed completely out of candy?

There might not be anything sweeter than the world of Dune recreated with a two-foot-long gummi worm, dozens of gummi bears standing in for Paul Atreides and the desert-dwelling Fremen, and what has to be pounds of yellow sprinkles and rock candy making up the landscape of Arrakis. The only thing better: the Dune Wiki, as it’s pretty hard to keep track of all the terminology we’ll need to remember.

Despite  how easy it may be to mix up our Harkonnens and our Haderachs, it doesn’t take away from how impressive this confectionery masterpiece is. But let’s refresh our memories with the scene that inspired this candy construction. That’ll surely clear things up.

It was worth a shot, but still a bit cloudy. Perhaps we should just commission the folks from the Candy Warehouse to remake the entire film shot for shot so we can better remember. Wait, if we’re hypothetically spending the money on a desert movie remake we ought to go with something more current. Something like Mad Max: Fury Road would do nicely. WITNESS ME… EATING ALL THE GUMMIES!

Take a look at the gallery below for a closer look at the detail put into the Dune-inspired sugary creation and let us know what you think of it in the comments below!
