DRAGON BALL Z VR Headset Lets You Blast Energy Like Goku

DRAGON BALL Z VR Headset Lets You Blast Energy Like Goku

Honestly, what good is virtual reality if you can’t use it to reenact the fantasies you used to have when you were a kid? And don’t pretend like most of your fantasies weren’t Dragon Ball Z related, because they definitely were. Now thanks to Japanese toy company Mega House and their BotsNew Characters line, you can finally launch Kamehamehas with the best of ‘em.

The device is similar to Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear VR, or other virtual reality headsets that are powered by an app on your smartphone. However, this one is infinitely better, because it’s covered in Capsule Corporation logos and once you put it on your head, you can learn moves from Goku, fly around the world of DBZ, determine other peoples’ power levels, and blast your living room into sweet oblivion.

The device also comes with two small sensors that attach to your hands so that your moves translate directly to what you see on screen. Watch it in action here:

This VR set will hit Japanese stores in June for 12,000 yen (about $110 in US dollars). Luckily, there are ways of snagging one for yourself across country lines, if you know where to go on the internet. You could also buy a regular BotsNew VR set right now on Amazon and put Capsule Corporation stickers on it yourself, I suppose, but where’s the fun in that? Either way, you’ll still have to wait for the corresponding Dragon Ball Z app to be released this summer.

Which other Saiyan moves would you want to recreate in VR? Let us know in the comments!
