DOCTOR WHO Series 10 Trailer, ATTACK ON TITAN Video, and More TV News

The year is winding down, and though things are a little quieter than usual, I still have updates to share. Today’s TV-Cap has a look at series 10 of Doctor Who, a preview for season two of Attack on Titan, word about a young George Lucas appearing in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and more.

A Look Ahead. The recent Doctor Who Christmas special (read Kyle A.’s review) was the first new Who we’ve been able to feast our eyes on in a very long time–a year, actually. The show will return with regular episodes in 2017, and the Christmas special came with a 50-second teaser for series 10. All I have to say: yay Pearl Mackie! I can’t wait to see more of her as Bill. Answers, Please. When Showtime brings back Twin Peaks in 2017, what ground will they cover? I can only imagine how the quirky little town has developed in the past couple of decades. And you have to wonder if the sequel will revisit mysteries from the original series. Eric has eight burning questions he wants answered in the revival. Read ’em here at Nerdist.

Everywhere You Look. If you’ve been growing close to Tanner family once again thanks to Netflix’s Fuller House, then it’s time to celebrate. The feel good show has been renewed for a third season, debuting in 2017. [Variety]

Hey, Bartender. The CW’s plethora of series are enjoying a midseason break, but they’ll return near the end of January. There’s already a promo in the wild for Supergirl’s winter premiere. Titled “Supergirl Lives,” the episode was directed by Kevin Smith (the title of the episode is a nod to the Superman Lives screenplay Smith wrote in the ’90s). The biggest takeaway from the clip: Mon-El has a job! [CBR]

As Scary As Ever. If you were riveted by season one of Attack on Titan and its intense imagery and fascinating worldbuilding, then breathe a sigh of relief, because we finally have a trailer for season two. New episodes arrive in Japan in April 2017. Things aren’t getting more palatable or simple, and in fact, the war between Titans and humans looks to be as brutal as ever. [Nerdist]

Men of Letters Scoop. The British chapter of the Men of Letters has been causing problems for the Winchester brothers in Supernatural, and they’re going to continue to do so in season 12. The midseason finale of The CW series saw the Men of Letters come in to show off their fancy weapons just before the brothers got arrested. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and series executive producer Andrew Dabb talked to TVLine about what’s ahead; read their comments here.

A Little Tease. Season three of Rick and Morty is a thing that should be coming our way very soon (not soon enough though), and YouTuber Rick Sanchez caught a preview of the episodes to come in an Adult Swim live stream. The footage isn’t finished, but does it really need to be in order to get fans excited? [Nerdist]

Time in a Galaxy Far, Far Away. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow embraces goofiness and never shies away from going there. In the winter premiere, they’re going there by featuring a young George Lucas, played by Matt Angel. Entertainment Weekly (EW) revealed the news and how Lucas fits into the picture. Get all the details here at Nerdist.
