If today’s been a pretty normal day for you so far, then by all means brace yourself. It’s about to get strange! Yup, we have a brand new behind-the-scenes look at Marvel’s Doctor Strange, complete with exclusive footage from the film in today’s Movie Morsels. Plus, the latest Star Wars news straight from Mark Hamill, word on the future of the Warcraft film franchise, and more!
Doctor Strange
The Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth, a.k.a. Marvel Studios, are smiling upon us today. Below you’ll find a new sneak peek at Doctor Strange, which sheds a little more light on the motivations of Sorcerer Supreme Stephen Strange’s friends and foes. It also has heretofore unseen on-set footage from the film, plenty of concept art, and new interviews with stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, and Mads Mikkelsen, along with producer Kevin Feige. Why, it’s almost as enlightening as the all-seeing Eye of Agamotto itself!
Star Wars: Episode IX
Wondering if Luke Skywalker will be back after his next appearance in Star Wars: Episode VIII? In a new video he’s tweeted, Mark Hamill more or less confirms he’ll be around for more than just the one film. The video sees the actor finally losing the beard he’s sported since May of 2015, when he began shooting The Force Awakens. But Hamill teases that the beard could return for the saga’s next installment, the final film in the new trilogy…

Warcraft 2
Despite lackluster box office and mediocre reviews, Duncan Jones remains proud of the work he and his team pulled off on the film adaptation of Warcraft. So much so that he’s up more for helming another Warcraft movie, should the fates allow that to happen…
âIf there were an opportunity for us to make another film in the Warcraft universe,” the director tells Thrillist. “I really feel like we did the hard work in the first movie as far as setting the table. I would love to capitalize on three-and-a-half years of hard work and be able to have some fun in that world now that Iâve done the hard work. [So] who knows? Maybe Iâm just being a masochist.â
If, however, you’re waiting for a director’s cut of Jones’ first Warcraft film, well, you’re waiting in vain…
âA lot of people ask me,” adds Jones, “âWhen is the directorâs cut coming out?â There will never be a directorâs cut. With a film like this, where there are so many visual effects, every concession that you make you lose those shots. They cease to exist because the effects work never gets done. Some of itâs not even at that stage. You go through a writing stage right up to the deadline of shooting the thing. [You lose] ideas in the writing process. Then sets change for whatever reason and notes come in. Youâre changing things around a three-and-a-half year process. You get these little changes which are constantly course correcting you. So there is no possibility of ever being a directorâs cut. Itâs purely in my head.â
La La Land
Together, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds are just too adorable for words. So rather than clutter the poster for their upcoming musical La La Land with superfluous characters, Lionsgate has wisely chosen to shine a lone light (literally) on the two charismatic stars…
Inferno
Finally today, we end as we began, with another behind-the-scenes featurette. This one’s for Ron Howard’s Inferno, which sees Tom Hanks returning to his role as globe-trotting professor of religious iconology and symbology Robert Langdon for a third time. Based on Dan Brown’s bestselling novel, the film lands in theaters October 28. The following video features interviews with the author, the director, and the star…
