Sometimes I forget that Disney/Pixar has made multiple films involving vehicles. Cars comes to mind. But then there’s also Cars 2, Planes, and Planes: Fire & Rescue. Talking modes of transportation apparently have more appeal than I ever could have imagined. I might raise my eyebrow, but I’m completely on board with Big Bee Studio’s parody. Director Brian K. Anderson has imagined a world where Cars and Planes meet Star Wars, a world with talking X-wings and TIE fighters. It’s glorious. Also, it’s possibleI’m a sucker for anything related to Star Wars.
Big Bee pulled in quite the impressive voice cast to bring his parody to life. The voice cast includes Scott Fletcher, Felicia Day, Brian Ibbott, Veronica Belmont, Bonnie Burton, and many many more. And the designs of the X-wings! I want them to be available as toys. Each ship has its own distinct markings and style. Felicia Day’s ship–Periwinkle 19–has a Thor-esque helm and a unicorn horn while Hazel 42 (Kiala Kazebee) looks like a cat and Green 33 (Bonnie Burton) resembles a Twi’lek. I would buy the heck out of this toy line. Reference the part where I’m a sucker.
If you enjoyed the parody, Anderson’s Big Bee is on Patreon for support. You can pledge and get rewards ranging from a simple thank you to a voice cameo in one of Anderson’s next videos. Anderson uses the funds to make more videos and to upgrade software.
