When you hear the words “Disney” and “dolphin” together it probably conjures up images of an adorable animated movie and an entire line of stuffed toys and figures. But even Disney knows that, in this case, they can’t improve on the cute and lovable real thing. Their new film Dolphins isn’t a cartoon at all, but a nature doc!
Disneynature has just released the first trailer for the next film in their documentary series, where they take intimate looks at some of the best and most interesting creatures Mother Nature has to offer. This time they will head below the waves to a coral reef into the midst of a dolphin society, where they’ll meet Echo: “A youngster who canât quite decide if itâs time to grow up and take on new responsibilities, or give in to her silly side and just have fun.”
You can watch the first trailer for the film right here.
Dolphins isn’t actually due out in theaters until 2018, but Disneynature is giving the first sneak peek at the film now because this trailer will run before the next movie from the company:Â Born in China, which comes to theaters on Earth Day, April 21st.
You can watch the trailer for that film here too.
It’s tough to improve upon an actual panda bear or dolphin, even for Disney, so why bother when you can simply film the real thing and still tell a heartwarming story?
