What would Captain America wear while sashaying down the runway? Easy: He would turn into a woman and don a smart pantsuit with star-spangled accessories. That’s the vision of Russian artist Sasha, or Sashiiko, as she’s known on DeviantArt, and I have to say, the look suits Cap.
Not surprisingly, Sasha is a fashion design student. She studied several characters from Marvel, Disney, and Studio Ghibli and gave them dazzling chic ensembles. Every design retains recognizable markers, such as color themes and patterns, so you can easily identify the character. I’m especially impressed she included an entire line-up of Disney villians in addition to the attention grabbing princesses. I mean, she even managed to create a smashing outfit for Frollo that makes him ready for the catwalk. That takes talent.
Her illustrations have the soft lines typical of fashion design art, but you can still spot all the details. And yes, that’s perfect for cosplayers. I hope they’re inspired by these because how amazing would it be to see a group in the “Spirited Away on the Runway” attire? Fingers crossed.

I think these are really creative and interesting interpretations. I don’t necessarily like all of them (like most real-world fashion) or can’t even identify all of the source characters but they’re just high-fashion designs inspired by the characters. I’m glad she posted her experiment so we could see!
No. Just no. Ditch the heels. Ditch the thigh-highs. If Kate Middleton can’t wear it while riding a horse, then why should these Princesses?
Let the awesome cosplays begin!
