For Karen’s nervous son – I barely avoided fainting every time I met a “celebrity”. It took me a while to figure out how to fix it.
#1) Eat beforehand. My blood sugar would be tanking after all the getting ready, commuting to a show, then sitting around for a couple of hours with no food. Having a full belly seems a good defense against anxious energy *also* dropping blood sugar.
#2) Keep going to live events where you will see people in person, even if you don’t meet them. Seeing them being a regular human a few times will help burn off some of the nervous energy.
#3) Keep talking to whoever you go with, so parents, friends. Keep your brain occupied and you can’t stew as much in the jitters.
I hope that helps!
I think a cook off challenge would be great to see, between Andy and Becky. they are very entertaining and their food looks amazing. You’d have to have tj on to balance Pete’s love for becky though. love the podcast
Needs even less Karen.
Wag, which ones? Jamie was happily given to them and Gordon isn’t English. I know Nigella is on tv there now but thought it was just rebroadcasts of her British show.
Anyway a good episode, even as a meat eater it was refreshing to hear about the vegan meals.
Love listening to this show. Sarah: England isn’t that cold in February (not as cold as New York for example)
Doug: English food is pretty good….. if you have bad food in England its because you’ve stolen all our chefs 🙂
Karen: feel free to kick Doug under the table 🙂
Looking forward to this. D: Listened to the Becky and Kumail episode 4-5 times already. Becky’s too adorable.
I’m not sure if I could keep myself from tacklesnugging (in that super creepy way) Sarah Silverman if I were interviewing her. Dat voice.
