Matt just got back from being interviewed about Dan Harmon for a documentary, and it got him thinking about honest people: how they’re often perceived as rude, why we need them, etc. It mostly got him remembering an incident involving his friend Danny in college. There’s another important point in the honesty scale: oblivious honesty. I once told a guy that his prom date’s makeup made her look like Mimi from the Drew Carey Show.
There was no punching involved after the comment slipped out of my mouth, but I still feel bad for saying it.
