Even Guardians need some love.
With the lovie doviest day of the year soon approaching, Bungie has announced Destiny‘s first ever “Crimson Days” to celebrate Valentine’s Day. This new event will start on February 9, and will go on for a whole week. As you’ve already guessed, this special week will be all about the love-birds. The Tower will take on a new, more romantic look in celebration.
A new 2v2 mode, dubbed Crimson Doubles, will also be added. The idea is to give couples a mode where they can test their might against other Guardians. Of course, this doesn’t mean you’ll necessarily have to go into the battlefield with your significant-other, just make sure to pick a partner who’ll have your back. The new game mode will introduce new gameplay and mechanics, but no other specifics have been shared at the moment.
Bungie has also stated that you’ll be able to earn “sweet” loot. I have a sneaking suspicion that you’ll be able to get some red and possibly heart-shaped gear.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t still go out on a romantic date with your boo, but this is a nice alternative to the expensive predictable dinner. A nice stroll through the more picturesque Tower on V-Day sounds about as romantic as it can get, if you ask me.
What do you guys think about Crimson Days? Will you be joining the fun come February? Do you play Destiny with anyone special? Let us know in the comments below!
