No matter what you might have thought of the film itself, one of the coolest parts of Justice League was its kickass post-credits sequence. Spoilers here, folks, but actor Joe Manganiello showed up as Deathstroke to team up with Lex Luthor. When he took off his helmet, he was the spitting image of the comic book version of Slade Wilson, the worlds greatest mercenary. It was pretty dang cool.
Now, whether or not we get a Deathstroke in future movies is up in the air, but you can still find DC Comics’ #1 assassin in his own monthly series. In the latest storyline, Slade has turned over a new leaf and given up killing, and has formed his own troupe of young heroes called Team Defiance. This group includes Kid Flash, his children Jericho and Ravager, the new Power Girl, and Terra.
Considering his relationship with Terra in the previous DC continuity (short version: she was a psychopath he planted in the Teen Titans to destroy them from within), this… can’t go well. In the meantime, other villains in the DCU aren’t into this newly reformed Slade, and are letting him know just what they think of “good guy” Deathstroke.
