They may have given you the occasional chuckle, but dollars to donuts any of your friends’ live-tweeting sprees of yesterday’s big game weren’t as funny as our favorite super-healing, full-body-scarred ninja mercenary in the red suit, Deadpool. As we first learned by way of Daily Superhero, the Merc with a Mouth took to his official movie Twitter to offer his own commentary on the Super Bowl. As the man himself put it, it was cheaper than actually buying commercial time for a Deadpool 2 trailer.

It’s hard to tell if it was actually Ryan Reynolds, the film’s writers, or just some social media manager, because all the brand ambassadors for Deadpool have unified their voice to the point that they all sound like each other, and “each other” sounds like a cancer-stricken superhero who constantly makes masturbation jokes. From P!nk singing the national anthem to the final dumping of Gatorade on the Eagles coach (and a few shots at the Disney-Fox merger), nothing escaped the hero’s commentary.
