Deadpool 2 is still hanging around in the top 10 at the box office, but it won’t be long until the R-rated superhero comedy hits Blu-ray. And in addition to the version we’ve all already enjoyed, 20th Century Fox has officially revealed that the rumored extended edition of the film is also on its way.
Via his Twitter account, Deadpool 2 star Ryan Reynolds dropped an announcement video for Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut set to “Ashes” by Céline Dion. The clip mangles the English language by describing the new edition as “actionier” and “spandexier” before revealing that The Super Duper Cut will be available on digital starting on August 7. The Blu-ray will follow on August 21.
Spandexier is totally a word. Ask anyone. Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut on Digital August 7 & Blu-ray August 21. #Deadpool2 pic.twitter.com/nrhNMtt8Ww

Over the weekend, Comic-Con organizers revealed that the extended cut of Deadpool 2 will premiere on Saturday, July 21 at 10 PM in the Horton Grand Theatre. There will also be a Deadpool 2 panel earlier that day in Hall H that will presumably offer fans a better idea of what to expect from the new edition. Deadpool 2 co-writer Rhett Reese offered only a vague hint about The Super Duper Cut on his twitter account.

We do know of at least two jokes that didn’t make it into Deadpool 2‘s theatrical cut: a gag revolving around the Disney and Fox merger and Deadpool using the time travel device to murder one of history’s most notorious monsters. We’ve very curious to see Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut for ourselves, especially for the other lost moments that were originally left out.
