DEADPOOL 2 Trailer Intros the X-Force Team and Cracks MCU and DC Jokes

Cable is far from the only new face that movie fans will meet in Deadpool 2, as the Merc with a Mouth is putting together a whole new team of heroes to help him in his fight. The film’s final trailer introduces to each member of the X-Force in the midst of their job interviews. But even though he’s busy recruiting, Deadpool still has time to throw some serious shade at the other big superhero franchises.

The last action-packed look at the movie focuses on Deadpool’s team effort to protect “the kid” from Cable, which still involves breaking the fourth-wall, including a reference to Josh Brolin’s other forthcoming big superhero film—they managed to toss in a “Pump the hate brakes, Thanos.” But that’s nothing compared to the dig he throws at Warner Bros’ notoriously grimmer DCEU: “So dark—you sure you’re not from the DC universe?”

We know comic book fans are going to be thrilled to get Bedlam, Shatterstar, and Domino on the big screen, but our favorite part of this trailer was seeing one of our favorite comedians, Rob Delaney (and his mustache), as a superpower-free soccer dad who is hoping to spice up his life by playing hero.

Although, we also have to give it up to just how committed Fox is to the entire Deadpool ethos, since this is the “official” film description that accompanies the trailer:

“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”

That’s not exactly the kind of synopsis you’d get from Marvel or DC. What are you most excited about for Deadpool 2? Tell us in the comments below.
