Welcome to another fantastic ape-isode of Nerdist News! See what I did there? Of course you did, this is text.
On today’s show we’re covering a brand-new Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer that really lays it all out there, word that Nintendo is planning a brand new, cheap console for emerging markets, and a scientific breakthrough that might literally change life as we know it. Seriously. It might blow your mind.
Enjoy today’s show, stop on back for tomorrow’s Nerdist News WTFridays, and tell us in the comments below if you think a new console is the way to save Nintendo!
How about a console that is half the price of the xbox that can be played via wireless in anyroom? ohh having netflix access and playing dvds and blurays might help.
i feel sheltered I didn’t know China had a console ban… huh… u learn something everyday and knowledge is power… G.I. Joe
Nintendo can now walk into China and start from the beginning!
As long as they give me a console with a Zelda title in massively crisp HD I don’t care what Nintendo does, I lost hope after the Gamecube.
*sigh* I really wish people wouldn’t be so eager to believe what is most likely rumor…..
They need to do what brought them to the dance in the first place. Make a simple console that just plain kicks ass. Doesn’t need to be fancy or anything… it needs to have awesome games… catchy games… They’ve gone too far away from what made Nintendo Nintendo over the past decade that I’m not sure they remember why they were #1 for 20+ years.
Have you played any of the current Wii U Games, they are amazing. They need to cut the time between awesome releases, and gain 3rd party support…
A full on Pokemon game on the Wii U would be amazing, please Nintendo if you want too make a shit load of money DO IT!!!!!!
They need to stop being so gimmicky and just make a high powered yet innovative counsel. Kind of like the Sega Dreamcast….but don’t schedule your release a few months before the Playstation 5.
They did that once. The gamecube didn’t sell.
Don’t forget that Dreamcast was Sega’s biggest downfall either. Too advanced compared to what was out there and too expensive so they didn’t sell well. It hemorrhaged money.
