Dave Chappelle’s Netflix Stand-Up Specials Look Incredible

Following his comeback on Saturday Night Live last November, it was revealed that the new age of Dave Chappelle was in full motion, as it was announced that the comedian would be releasing three stand-up specials on Netflix. Two of those specials come from Chappelle’s personal vault, while the other hasn’t been produced yet. The two that currently exist are on their way, coming to to Netflix on March 21.

Dave Chappelle: The Age of Spin was filmed at The Palladium in Los Angeles in March 2016, while Dave Chappelle: Deep in the Heart of Texas, was filmed at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, TX in April 2015. It looks like they’re both a lot of fun. Of course, he’s not going to hold back and why away from controversial topics. Chappelle talks about everything from race — “You know what kills black people more than anything, more than police and terrorism? Salt, n***a, regular-a** table salt.” — to the time he met OJ Simpson.

It’s been a while since Chappelle’s last stand-up special — his most recent, Dave Chappelle: For What It’s Worth, came out in 2004 — but it looks like he’s reacclimating to the game just fine. His stint on Saturday Night Live proved that even though comedy changes so quickly, Chappelle’s style has remained hilarious. There’s no word yet on when that third special is going to drop, but these two ought to hold us over just fine until then.
