The Dark Lord of the Sith is coming to Star Wars Rebels this weekend.

James Earl Jones is reprising his role as Darth Vader for the second season of Star Wars Rebels. On top of that, the Star Wars Rebels creative team is giving fans the most badass Darth Vader since The Empire Strikes Back.

During the upcoming one-hour season premiere of Star Wars Rebels, Vader comes to Lothal and quickly proves to be the deadliest threat that the crew of the Ghost has ever faced. This is Darth Vader at the height of his power and without even the hint of mercy that he had for his son.

In the first clip from “The Siege of Lothal,” Darth Vader single-handedly dismantles the nascent Rebel fleet in his Tie-fighter. Do you remember when Ben Kenobi said that Anakin Skywalker was a great pilot in Return of the Jedi? This is the first real demonstration of just how talented Vader really is in a spaceship. At the end of this video, Vader’s former apprentice, Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) and the crew of the Ghost prepare to confront him.

The second clip comes from an earlier part of the episode, as Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Ezra (Taylor Gray), Sabine (Tiya Sircar), and Zeb (Steve Blum) realize just how badly overmatched they are during their first encounter with Darth Vader.
