Last week, a report emerged that Marvel and Netflix were placing Daredevil season two against Warner Brosâ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Today, Netflix confirmed that all 13 episodes of Daredevilâs second season will premiere in March. But the real release date will be on Friday, March 18.
Accompanying the announcement was a new teaser for Daredevil season two. The video stylishly recaps the first season in the form of voiceover and illustrations a la stained glass church windows. Almost all of the major moments from season one were accounted for, including the incident that blinded Matt Murdock, and Daredevilâs conflict with Wilson Fisk for the soul of Hellâs Kitchen. But the final image hints at a deadlier threat: Frank Castle, a.k.a. The Punisher!
Netflix also released a new poster for Daredevil season two, which features the surviving characters and the dead alike.
Hereâs Netflixâs official description for Daredevil season two:
âJust when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hellâs Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame â Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Mattâs neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hellâs Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.â
