Don’t lose hope, folks! Crash Bandicoot and his buddies will one day make a glorious return. I just know it!
Sony has been teasing the return of the once iconic PlayStation mascot for some time now. Remember how Shawn Layden, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, went on stage at PSX last year wearing a t-shirt featuring the orange bugger? Yeah, it’s happening… eventually… I hope. Until then, we can all ogle this incredible Crash Bandicoot-themed PS2.
Modder Vadu Amka slapped the Aku Aku mask right on top of the console just to make it look like an aged and beaten up hidden treasure. It even looks like moss is growing on the sides. And despite it not looking like it, there is most definitely a PS2 (original fat version) hidden under all the art, so it’s more than just a display piece. Who wouldn’t want to game on this piece of hardware? But, that’s not allâthere’s also a matching controller to go along with it. Though, the controller looks much too grimy for me. (I know that’s just the look of it, but still…)
This is the same modder who made a Jakku inspired Nintendo 64, so it goes without saying that this guy is talented.
