Where do you go for cosplay inspiration? When you need ideas or tutorials, there are countless places to turn across the internet. Pinterest and Tumblr are my go-to sites when I want to search for how-tos on topics like Worbla techniques, dyeing wigs, and sewing. YouTube is useful for tutorials as well, especially if you learn better from watching rather than reading. If I only want to look at costumes, fabrics, and accessories, I find DeviantArt is a perfect place to spend time. You’ll find cosplayers of all skill levels. And then, of course, there’s Cosplay Friday.
I attempt to feature a variety of costumes and photography styles each week to show the possibilities are literally endless. I’m continually floored by the patience and resources cosplayers dedicate to their craft. They inspire me to create.

Do you cosplay? Head to the comments and tell me about your current projects. I’d also love to see pictures of your work in order to include them in an upcoming edition of Cosplay Friday. Feel free to share if you’re a cosplay photographer, too! You can leave a link in the comments, tag or mention me on your Instagram photos, or send me an image on Twitter. Please include all the creditsâcosplayer and photographerâbecause credit is cool.
