Today is not only Friday, it’s the release date of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s a momentous occasion in geek history. And since it is a Friday, it’s also Cosplay Friday. If you need to scratch a Star Wars itch, there’s a BB-8 in the below gallery that is the cutest. Though I’m quite obsessed with the BB-8 and pondering whether I could make something similar in my size, I’m simply taken with this Effie Trinket cosplay:

When people dress as The Hunger Games characters, they usually opt for the monarch butterfly dress or one of Effie’s more colorful ensembles. I mean, most of her ensembles are colorful. This cosplayer focused on Effie’s more drab but still fabulous attire in Mockingjay – Part 1. It’s one of my favorite designs for the character because it speaks to her spirit and also her need to accessorize.
