Conan O’Brien Plays FAR CRY PRIMAL with PewDiePie on Clueless Gamer

We’ve been pumped for Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal since the developer unveiled the title back in October. In an industry brimming with gritty post-apocalyptic games, setting Primal in 10,000 BCE (at the beginning of the Mesolithic era) was an ambitious move, and a refreshing change of pace for the Far Cry franchise. Now that it’s finally out in the wild, we’ve been spending a lot of our free time exploring the wilderness. Ahead of its release, Conan O’Brien and YouTube sensation Felix Kjellberg (a.k.a. PewDiePie) gave fans a hilarious preview of what to expect with new episode of Team Coco’s Clueless Gamer. Watch the madness unfold above.

The video primarily touched on the ability to tame wild animals—a skill our own Malik also showed off in the latest episode of Nerdist:Play. In addition to adding various beasts to your arsenal and sending them to attack targets, the game gives players the opportunity to ride creatures around and wreak havoc. During Conan’s adventure, he encountered the likes of badgers, mammoths, and saber-tooth tigers (oh my). Seeing Conan struggle with becoming an owl was the clear highlight. Once mastered, however, the animal was able to swoop down and attack the hostile prey.

Once the crew climbed atop a massive mammoth, things got real. Conan’s description of the action as the “Pre-historic Uber” was beyond perfect.

If you’re a fan of Clueless Gamer, make sure to check out the rest of our coverage. Conan has tackled titles like Doom, Tony Hawk Pro-Skater 5, The Witcher 3, and Mortal Kombat X! What did you think of the video? Have you tried out Primal yet? Let us know in the comments below!
